Running Accomplishments:

I didn't start running until my freshman year, I got a 5:18 in the 1600 and 2:16 in the 800.

During my sophomore year I didn't really understand how to train smart and I didn't do any summer running so I just went out and died during cross country. I finished the season with a 17:16. I didn't run again until track started but I managed to get a 10:44 in the 3200, 4:57 (woo hoo) in the 1600, and I'd rather not share my 800 time...

I got smart during the next summer and got in some good mileage for my junior year, I got a PR of 16:46, finished 5th from Weber at state, and got 66th overall with a time of 17:13. I worked hard going into track and I was able to run a 4:36 in the 1600, 10:04 in the 3200, and 2:08 in the 800.

My senior summer was hit and miss, I had some issues halfway through, kinda recovered, then I got my wisdom teeth out and didn't ever get in the groove for my senior season until the end. I ran a PR of 15:54 (3 mile converted) and took 56th at state with a 16:43. Overall I thought it was very productive season. I got 9th in the FLCC West Senior boys race with a 17:08. During indoor I ran a 2:04 800 and a 4:33 1600 . I had the oppurtunity to run in finals at Simplot in the 1600. With only limited interval training I was very happy with these times. Wasn't able to improve during outdoor due to pneumonia although I was able to get in a 9:51 in the 3200.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Screw it I'm running an Ultra before I leave.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Be competetive in distance events throughout my life, and keep running.

Lots of people I've been around act like all runners die after they graduate unless they run for a D1 college. What up with that? I'm just getting started!!

I don't exercise. I train.

Doubt I'll run but seeing as this is one of my last reports I thought I'd say some stuff...

Thanks to the OC for getting me motivated this summer and letting me tag along for their workouts.

Thanks to the people from Weber who helped me learn to love running.

Thanks to all the legit people who put on races I ran, I really appreciate it.

Thanks to my family for supporting me with my running.

Thanks to all the people who cheered me on during races. Even if it was just a pity clap it made tough races at least a little less miserable.

Thanks to everyone ever who has helped turn me into a runner.

Now I'm going to get kinda salty...

Thanks to the people who almost hit me while you weren't paying attention while you were driving.

Thanks to everybody I ran with for ignoring me during my senior season as I coughed my lungs up trying to participate in the sport I love, getting mad at me for not performing when I show up to races half dead from pneumonia, and blaming it on me not wanting to run. Especially at Arcadia, Herriman, and Region. Trying to break a fever for 2 days is no excuse for a poor race, and having my lungs being filled with fluid is something I should have pushed through.
